Biography

Attila J. Szarka is a freelance illustrator and painter living and working in Hungary. After his university, he worked in various graphic studios for many years. His early works focused on traditional art techniques, drawing, acrylic and oil painting. In 2018, he began to produce digital works. He attempts to combine traditional art techniques with the diversity of digital workflows. For him, a movie poster is the pictorial projection of the film, an eye-catching and mood-inspiring design. In his work it is important that he try to capture the essence of the film and deliver it to the audience in the form of a compressed image, while remaining humble and respectful toward the movie.
