Chris Skinner Channels M.C. Escher With His Spectacular New Print For “Labyrinth”

U.K. artist Chris Skinner and Cult Classic Prints are joining their “wonder twin powers” to bring fans a stunning new print for the 1986, musical, fantasy-flick, “Labryinth.”  This film has so much going for it, it boggles the mind. It was executive produced by George Lucas and directed by the legendary Jim Henson for starters.  The film also touts an impressive cast including stars David Bowie as Jareth and Jennifer Connelly as the troubled 15-year-old, Sarah.

Teenage Sarah is left to babysit her baby brother Toby and he will not stop crying. So Sarah tries to put the baby to sleep by reading him a story. When she accidentally conjures up the Goblin King from the fantasy, he steals the baby and takes him to his castle, which is in the middle of a labyrinth. Now Sarah must solve the labyrinth by midnight, or Toby will be turned into a goblin.

Chris has produced one of the most detailed prints around and THE must have Labyrinth print! The amount of time and love spent on this print truly shows; this is a man at the top of his game producing a print that boggles the mind just like how Sarah felt in the movie trying to find the castle.  An homage to M.C. Eschers ‘Relativity’ print that was homaged by the movies final scenes and which was also found on Sarah’s bedroom wall in the movie.

Framed by a fully working metallic gold maze with a crystal ball at the end!  Beautifully brought to life by Philippe at SP Productions in Belgium; a master craftsman no doubt, these are something to behold even more so in person, no wonder he’s Laurent Durieux’s printer of choice.
